Here is a list of upcoming events at St. Matthew.

Spring Musical Rehearsal - The children will  rehearse for the  Spring musical "Alive, Alive!" on Sundays, beginning  January 24 during Children's Worship.  The performance date is March 21.

What Did Jesus Eat? - Find out by joining us for our Wednesday Lenten gatherings beginning February 24.  On Wednesdays during lent we will be looking at the scriptures where Jesus dined with others and the foods they enjoyed. During the five Wednesdays a different food will be shared, dessert beverage, variety of breads, fruit, and spices. Church members will also tell how eating healthy foods Jesus ate has changed their lives for the better. Join us for this unique multi-sensory experience. The dinner and fellowship begins at 6:15 p.m. and the tasting, sharing and devotion time begins at 7:00 p.m. Please sign up at the Opportunity Table for the nights you can join us.

Men's Fellowship - Men's Fellowship will meet Saturday, March 20. Breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. They will have a guest speaker who will talk about the history, direction, and teachings of Islam. For additional information please call the church office.

      

Saints Alive - The Saints Alive group will attend Arts in the Morning at Wheaton College on Monday, March 29 at 9:30 a.m. The DuPage Symphony woodwind Quintet will present a variety of classical and popular music. Breakfast is included (price is $10.00). For information please call the church office at (630)665-1236.

Easter Egg Hunt - The annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday April 3, at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny as well as treats for all who attend. Please join us for this fun, family event. For information please contact the church at (630) 665-1236.

Overseas Mission Trip to Belize – We will once again be heading down south to participate in a mission to provide housing to the poor.  Our destination country this year will be Belize located in the Yucatan peninsula.  The trip is being slated for the period of June 28 through July 7.  Persons interested in participating in this year’s mission should contact the churchfor additional information and to reserve a slot.

Family Camp 2010 - will take place July 18-23, 2010 in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.  The camp is located up in the mountains where there is golf, white water rafting and fishing.  Please call the church office for information at (630) 665-1236.

The St. Matthew Men's Fellowship meets for breakfast, fellowship and a wonderful guest speaker.

The youth of St. Matthew held a talent show on Sunday evening . The show was fun for all who attended and it followed a delicious spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Congregational Life committee.
